Middle Schoolers navigate a fascinating period of development as they move through adolescence, developing from concrete to abstract thinkers and growing daily in independence. The Abington Friends Middle School is staffed by a group of talented educators dedicated to guiding students and families through this sea of changes.
We work hard to create a joyful environment for students, nurturing and supporting them as they assume more responsibility, learn to take risks, tackle academic challenges, engage with the world and take initiative. Immersed in experiential and interdisciplinary learning, our students seize the rich opportunities every day presents during this exciting time of growing intellects and identities. We focus on core Quaker beliefs both in the classroom and through partnerships with our greater community. Celebrating “the light” in each of our students, we strive to support them in discovering their authentic talents, cooperating with each other and seeking new challenges.
