Students in teacher Jenny Burkholder’s ninth grade English class, Felicity Medina ’22 and Clay Lewis ’22, will be published in the May issue of Friends Journal.
The students submitted their writing to the Friends Journal Student Voices Project in January. Felicity and Clay were selected from more than 240 submissions. The theme of the project this year was “Friendly Competition” and the entrants were asked to write about the role of competition in their lives and how Quaker values influenced their view of or approach to it.
