School Committee at AFS

Abington Friends School is in a care relationship with Abington Monthly Meeting, which endorses and appoints members of the School Committee, the School's governing body.

Comprised of members of Abington Monthly Meeting, parents and alumni or past parents, the School Committee sets the strategic direction and vision for the future of the School and ensures ongoing faithfulness to our Quaker mission and values. As trustees of the School, the School Committee also has fiduciary responsibility for the School and leads the philanthropic culture of the community with its strong support of the AFS Annual Fund and major capital fundraising.

The AFS School Committee works tirelessly to support the mission of the School and to keep it healthy and viable for centuries to come.
