On Tuesday, March 16 at 7 p.m., the Mid-Year Arts Showcase will showcase the work of students artists done in the fall semester.
The showcase will include work by students who were inVideo Editing, taught by Seth Schmitt-Hall last fall. The assignment called “Kinetic Poetry” was a collaboration between the AFS Poetry Club, clerked by Cydney Brown ’22, and the Advanced acting Ensemble, taught by Megan Bellwoar Hollinger. The recorded original poems by AFS students and audio performances by AFS Actors and the video editing students animated the poetry using text, color and movement.
Visual artists will showcase their artwork and photography in a variety of mediums, as well. The still life drawing of an elephant shown is by Devyn Costello-Henderson ’21.
The Upper School Acting Ensemble will also perform stand-alone monologues from the 24-Hour Viral Monologue Project. See This Week for a Zoom link.
