The traditional AFS Arbor Day festivities will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. The all school outdoor program includes singing, poetry reading and dancing to celebrate all that nature provides.
The seniors and first grader partners will be turning over shovels of earth as they plant their trees, a tradition that is more than a century old. Students in several classes will perform and dance to celebrate the newness and birth of spring time.
To lift up the Quaker testimony of stewardship, it is important to honor Arbor Day in a distinct way because trees are significant to our campus, town, country and world.
