Anne Fields has been teaching at AFS since 1985 and coaching middle school tennis here (girls & boys) since the mid-1990’s.
Anne received her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University & Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She started playing competitive tennis at age 25 and serves as captain of an 18-plus & 40-plus 4.0 team.
Why Anne coaches at AFS: “I like to instill a love of athletics, especially tennis, to all of the players that I coach. I talk about the importance of laughter and exercise — if you can’t laugh at yourself when you mess up, whether it’s swinging and missing or hitting the ball to the fence, then it is hard to learn a new sport.”
