Fall Tennis

Across all levels, tennis at AFS fosters confidence, camaraderie and a lifelong love of the sport.
Tennis at Abington Friends School is offered in two seasons each academic year—fall and spring. Historically, the fall season has served players who identify as female and the spring season for those who identify as male. Gender diverse and non-binary students are encouraged to participate in the season in which they feel most comfortable.

Program History at AFS
As a charter member of the Friends Schools League (FSL), the program has enjoyed consistent success, with nine FSL playoff appearances since 2002, a runner-up finish in 2003, and a championship in the inaugural Quaker Cup Tournament in 2022.
AFS has finished with a .500 or better FSL record in 11 of the last 17 seasons, and recent graduates have gone on to play collegiate tennis at schools like Brandeis University and Gettysburg College.
