and the Now More
Than Ever Campaign
Help us flourish now
and Into the future
Together as families, alumni, faculty, staff and friends who understand the difference AFS makes in the world every day, we are taking bold steps forward to strengthen our school and mission.
Help us grow now
Make a gift to Abington Friends School to help us grow today. The Fund for AFS honors our school's commitment to cultivate creative, dynamic and fearless learning while staying true to our deep Quaker roots.
Through the Fund for AFS, we ask each member of our school community to support what they love most about AFS by directing their gift to one of the following priorities:
Academic Innovation and Student Programs:
Your gift nurtures growth in intellect, self-knowledge, and leadership in our students every day. Through innovative programs ranging from MedEx and BizEx to Robotics, international travel and AFS Outside, AFS students develop as communicators, creators and analytical thinkers.
Visual and Performing Arts:
Your gift enables students across all three divisions to find the joy of creative self-expression and connect to the broader world through our award-winning theater productions, rich vocal and instrumental music and high-level visual arts classes and programs.
Athletics and Wellness:
Your gift helps AFS provide excellence in physical education and athletics by funding items such as uniforms and equipment and supporting coaches and trainers in their efforts to teach essential life skills including good sportsmanship, teamwork, time management and lifelong fitness.
Your gift maintains the buildings and spaces essential to student learning and provides for the care of our 322 year-old campus, along with the innovative outdoor learning it supports.
Your gift helps AFS thrive by making it financially possible to attract and enroll exceptional students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our robust tuition assistance policy is critical to maintaining our well-balanced student body.
Area of Greatest Need:
Your unrestricted gift enables your donation to go directly to the area of greatest and most immediate need, helping every AFS student pursue a meaningful educational experience.
Your gift to the Fund for AFS has an immediate impact on our students and will help us continue to flourish as a school community.Help us grow today 〉
And Into the FUTURE
AFS blends a powerful academic program with a spirit of community, joyful ambition, and inclusion, and we believe that our campus facilities should support and reflect the extraordinary things happening here. To help AFS flourish tomorrow and into the future, the School launched Now More Than Ever: The Campaign for Abington Friends School in Fall 2016. Through the dual phases of this campaign, we aim to support our students, faculty and programming needs and position our school for success by making significant enhancements to our athletics and wellness facilities.
AFS broke ground on the Richard N. Berman Athletics Center in May 2018 thanks to 100+ donors who have committed more than $8.3 million in gifts and pledges to make this vision a reality. The new Center will include a beautiful lobby, competition basketball court, expanded spectator seating, a state-of-the-art fitness center and training room, team locker rooms and a multi-purpose room.
The rapid progress of the Now More Than Ever campaign is a reflection of our community's deep commitment to lifting up and strengthening AFS. In order to fully fund the Center, AFS needs additional support before the projected opening in late Summer 2019. Once that goal is met, Phase II efforts will begin to fund an all-weather track and turf field, providing a long-awaited home for our three-season track program and a year-round surface for soccer, lacrosse and physical education.
Be a part of this major leap forward for AFS by supporting the Now More Than Ever campaign with a one-time gift or a five-year pledge at any level.Help us flourish tomorrow 〉
