Biography

Jordan has been a part of the AFS community since the year 2000. Formerly, he taught physics and astronomy for six years at the Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, New Jersey.

Jordan’s favorite part about working in the AFS community: “AFS is so much more than a community, it is a family. I find inspiration, joy, truth, and motivation in my relationships with my colleagues, my students, their families, and our alums. We form meaningful connections through our shared experiences, and constantly challenge each other to become better people.”

What Jordan finds meaningful in his profession: “Anyone who knows me knows that I try to find the joy in anything that I do, and teaching offers me the chance to spread that joy and encourage others to seek it out in their lives. Science is a wonderful window to open the dialogue with, but the classroom, in all of its facets, is just the perfect sandbox for sharing joy.”

Fun fact about Jordan: “I met my wife when I was three years old and she was only four.”

Jordan’s favorite spot on campus: “The path to the Meetinghouse, approaching the “peach” tree, in the fall.”
