The ECCO Program at AFS: Exploring, Connecting, and Committing to Opportunities
ECCO is an experiential learning program aimed at connecting students in grades K through 12 with
opportunities that will broaden their academic and social landscape both within and beyond AFS.
This might include an upper schooler pursuing a summer service program in Dominica, a seventh-grader
participating in a national leadership summit in Washington, or an 8 year-old joining her first travel soccer team.
Opportunities abound and we are eager to connect students with experiences that have the power to transform.
Of the over 850 programs and learning experiences catalogued in just the first few years, many were referred to
ECCO by our own families, alumni, students, faculty and staff. With that in mind, we invite you to share with us:
- your child(ren)’s experiences from the past summer or school year
- particular programs or student experiences about which you would like more information
- relationships or connections you may have which ECCO might pursue ( for example, you may know someone
who loves to share their work with kids, has student internship opportunities or has a specific program they highly recommend).
