 Science
is an expression of man's curiosity about the natural world. This
curiosity leads us to ask questions, look for patterns, propose
solutions, test generalizations, and draw conclusions. These activities
form the basis of the Scientific Method, which is the foundation of the
science program. Although approaches and practices vary, the
Department's primary goals are to provide a strong academic background
for future study and to develop the general knowledge and reasoning
skills required for living in a technologically complex world.
