Abington Friends Upper School prepares students for college and for life-long learning. The curriculum offers a strong base of required courses and allows for specialization in the eleventh and twelfth grades. Throughout their course work, students are provided with opportunities to learn and use the most up-to-date technologies.
Community service, athletic competition, student activities, experiences in the visual and performing arts, a visiting authors and artists series, a rich variety of assemblies and performances, a required 11th grade speech, regular student-advisor meetings, and weekly Meeting for Worship are some of the experiences that provide a
balanced, dynamic Upper School program.
College admissions requirements play a significant role in Upper School curriculum planning. Graduates go on to study and excel at some of the nation’s most selective colleges and universities.
