Emergent Curriculum
An emergent curriculum is one that builds upon the interests of the children.

Teachers are skilled observers and work with their students to develop topics of study that emerge from the children's play and conversations. Teachers become research partners with children, seeking answers to questions and supporting investigation. The classroom becomes the laboratory, offering the tools and materials to inspire delight, curiosity and inquiry in each child. This approach builds intrinsic motivation and a long-term love of learning.
